Opening Night
The Opening Night of the MJ/RC Reunion sets the tone for an unforgettable 9-day celebration. This signature event welcomes family, friends, and community members with vibrant energy, cultural pride, and heartfelt connection. Guests will enjoy a lively evening filled with music, captivating performances, and inspiring remarks from key community leaders and dignitaries.
As the sun sets, the venue will come alive with beautifully decorated spaces reflecting our twin communities, a warm welcome ceremony, and a showcase of local cuisine. Opening Night not only marks the official start of the reunion but also celebrates the unity of generations and the rekindling of cherished memories.
Market Day / Lapocabwit
Before the sun rises, the village will stir with the soulful echoes of Lapocabwit, a cherished tradition deeply rooted in our ancestral heritage. Passed down through generations, Lapocabwit awakens the spirit of our ancestors, reviving the early morning rhythm of life that once defined our community. This symbolic start to the day invites all to reflect, reconnect, and honor the resilience and unity of those who came before us.
As day breaks, Market Day will come alive in full color recreating the vibrant, bustling atmosphere of old-time village markets. The day begins with traditional livestock butchering, just as our fore-parents did, followed by a lively showcase of local produce, handmade products, and essential services.
The air will be rich with the aromas of beloved traditional cuisine: souse, blood pudding, fwashin, lamowi, and hawosor prepared with the same love and authenticity as in generations past. Market Day is more than an event it’s a living tribute to our roots, a celebration of our culture, and a powerful reminder of the values and flavors that continue to bring us together.
Callaloo & Roots Festival
In a proud tribute to our agricultural heritage and the heart of our culinary identity, the Callaloo & Root Festival shines a spotlight on the beloved dasheen leaf callaloo a staple rooted in the soul of our twin villages for centuries. This festival honors the generations of farmers who have nurtured this crop from the soil with care and tradition, making it not just food, but a symbol of our resilience and unity.
Get ready to experience callaloo like never before infused in rich, creative, and flavorful dishes featuring lobster, crayfish, shrimp, veo, smoked fish, rabbit, agouti, crab, smoked meats, lamowi, pigtails and more. From the humble pot to gourmet interpretations, every serving tells a story of our people and our palate.

It’s a day filled with laughter, cheering, and shared memories where families and old friends reconnect on the field and in the stands, celebrating the joy of movement and togetherness.
School Yard Jam
Step back into the golden days with School Yard Jam, a nostalgic night of dancing, laughter, and live music under the stars. Just like the unforgettable evenings of our youth, the schoolyard will come alive with live bands, DJs, and vibrant rhythms that span generations. River Cookout / Cooler Fette / Bonfire / Folk & Trivia Night

Bar Crawl

This event takes you on a spirited tour of local bars and rum shops from Riviere Cyrique to Morne Jaune, where you’ll enjoy drinks, great music, food, and vibrant conversations at every stop. Diner En Blanc Avec Creole
Experience a night of sophistication, culture, and unity at Dîner en Blanc avec Créole. Belle Marche / Hike

Riddims On The Savanna / Glow Fette
The MJ/RC Reunion reaches its climactic crescendo with Riddims on the Savanna / Glow Fette, an electrifying night of music, luxury, and celebration under the stars. This culminating event features high-energy performances by top local and international artists, pulsating rhythms, and a glowing atmosphere that lights up the savanna with joy and unity.
